Tasting Notes: An oaked wine with a rich bouquet of vanilla and tropical fruits. This barrel aged dry wine has plenty of attack, with good citrus flavours coming through on the palate. The finish is warming with lingering oak character.

Producer Details: One of East Anglia’s oldest commercial vineyards producing a range of white, red, rosé and Quality Sparkling wines. Shawsgate are passionate about their wines and they go to great lengths to ensure very high standards in their on-site winery. This is well illustrated by the many regional, national as well as international awards they have to their name.

In The Winery: Quercus is lightly oak aged in French oak barrels after being fermented in our stainless steel tanks. The ageing process, although just a few weeks intensifies the fruit characters found in our unoaked wines like Neptune and Pandora. Only a small batch of this wine is made every few years.
