Tasting Notes: Pale salmon-pink. Red berry fruit, touch of forest floor. Medium sweetness, crisp acidity in balance, a little grip, nice fruit across the palate, fair length.

Producer Details: The Lavenham Brook borders the 150 acre Brook Farm, and flows gently through the beautiful rolling South Suffolk countryside, close to the medieval village of Lavenham. Facing south across the valley, the Suffolk vineyard is particulary well suited to growing award winning Bacchus and Pinot Noir grape varieties. Wine from the 2009 and 2010 vintages won gold medals in the UK Vineyard Association 'Wine of the Year' awards.
Lavenham Brook Vineyard was established in 2003, on just over an acre of our South facing land sloping down to the brook. There are now 10 acres with over 10,000 vines producing two grape varieties, Bacchus and Pinot Noir

In The Vineyard: The Suffolk chalky boulder clay is a major contributor to the great depth of flavour in all our English wines as is the abundant East Anglian sunshine.
In the vineyard the Brook Farm team still do most jobs by hand allowing the vines to be treated individually for the best results. Harvest time is no exception with family and friends helping to hand-select a premium quality crop.

In The Winery: These medal winning English wines are made from Bacchus and Pinot Noir grapes grown exclusively at Lavenham Brook Vineyard. One of Britain’s leading winemakers, Piers Greenwood, creates the wines from grapes hand-selected and picked by local people ensuring that only premium quality fruit is used. Quality rather than quantity is the producers’ principle!
