Tasting Notes: No-nonsense, very approachable Claret with more fruit than many at this price. Typically fresh 'leafy' Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc intertwined with the warmer fruiter tones of Merlot. Dry medium bodied palate with some weight in the finish and tannins to give it longevity.

Producer Details: Boutinot have formed partnerships with leading Bordeaux producer Ginestet to offer high quality wines from Château in top appellations. Lying at 45 degrees latitude, Bordeaux is considered relatively northerly and this estate enjoys ripening hours during the summer and the strong influences of the moderating maritime cimate.

In The Vineyard: From grapes grown on clay/limestone hillsides.

In The Winery: Grapes are vinified 'traditionally' in temperature controlled stainless tanks at between 28 and 30 degrees respectively for about 15 days with a 7 day maceration, resulting in youthful colour and intensity.
